Cardiac Rehabilitation
NYU Columbus Medical Institute of New Yorks
Cardiac Rehabilitation Services include medically supervised
and individualized exercise programs for people who
have had a heart attack, heart surgery or have had abnormal
stress test results.
Our
cardiac rehabilitation programs are aimed at limiting
the physiological and psychological effects of cardiac
illness, reducing the risk of sudden death or relapse,
controlling cardiac symptoms, stabilizing and improving
a patient's condition and improving a patient's quality
of life.
A cardiac rehabilitation specialist works with each
patient and closely monitors electrocardiogram tracings
and blood pressures during exercise sessions using our
state-of-the-art equipment.
